Well the wedding season in Ohio is off and running and many people still have not booked an officiant. If you have not booked an officiant for your wedding that is occurring in 2010, the time to start looking & booking is, NOW.
Think about it. You booked your venue, you found your dress, booked the caterer and D.J. Right now, it looks like your throwing a great PARTY. Remember without a licensed officiant (Ohio), it isn’t a wedding. We are here to help.

Today, we were awarded Wedding Wire’s Bride’s Choice Award for 2010. It lets us know we are doing things the right way. Here is the announcement:
Congratulations! We are excited to announce that Central Ohio Wedding Services has been chosen to receive the Bride’s Choice Awards™ 2010. This award recognizes the top 5 percent of local wedding professionals from the WeddingWire Network who demonstrate excellence in quality, service and professionalism.
The Bride’s Choice Awards™ are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds (brides and grooms) through extensive surveys and reviews, which means your past clients have spoken on our behalf and selected you to receive this honor.
Well Turkey day is over and the end of the year is near. Remember, we do have a chapel available in our office and can have you married as soon as you get your marriage license. I think I heard that the court house was backed up until January. So if you want that wedding before the end of the year, give us a call. Take a look at our main page and chapel page for details. We also officiate weddings of any size at the location of your choice.
I get many people who try to do their wedding rehearsal by themselves (no coordinator or minister present) but do not know the order of the ceremony. Some do a very good job but many times I find I need to change things on the day of the ceremony. I usually show up early the day of the ceremony and go over the wedding with the bride and groom separatley if I was not present at the rehearal. Usually, there are minor issues that need to be ironed out, sometimes it is more. Here is a link to a sample wedding rehearsal performed by one of the ministers from Foothills Chapel in Colorado. It is not a full rehearsal but it will give you a sense of what needs to be discussed and perhaps will help you make your decision on hiring a professonal for your rehearsal. Remember, if you have your minister conduct the rehearsal, you will still need someone in the back to coordinate the party on your wedding day as the minister will be in he front during the ceremony.

As we talk to couples while planning their wedding, we always mention to make your ceremony the way you want it. Make it memorable for you, the bride and groom. I recently found an interesting news article about a couple who did just that. Take a look and see how they enjoyed their new beginning.
